These 50 panels (6x6") have their source in moments of aisthou -- from Fukuchiyama, Japan in 1986 to New Orleans, LA in 2012 -- moments when I was stopped by texture, color, shape, or some other element of beauty that captured my attention. The photographic record of such moments has provided a rich source of inspiration for painting and printmaking for the past 28 years. I have selected 14 images to represent in three ways: as a photo pigment print (columns 1 & 7), a photo pigment print with oil(columns 2 & 6), and as oil paintings(columns 3 & 5). Additionally, there are seven unifying gray oil panels and one digitally combined photo pigment print with oil.
I will PRE-SELL works until the opening August 22.

Mary Souza worked on the Flags of Hope Project for the Dalai Lama's visit to Ronald McDonald House, Stanford
Volunteering weekly for four months, Mary assisted children and families in creating Flags of Hope, to carry healing messages, as the Dalai Lama blessed critically ill children on October 13, 2010.
